Angel Tree Toy Drive

The Angel Tree program has been The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas toy drive in Edmonton for many years. Each year, many local businesses step up to host a tree and accept donations for The Salvation Army to pass on to families in need. In 2022, we brought in over 2000 items through the Angel Tree campaign; supporting over 600 families and giving toys to over 1600 children and youth

The Angel Tree program is a wonderful way to show our community how much you care and to share with those less fortunate. The program typically involves local businesses, schools, and organizations setting up Christmas trees, and staff, students, and community members would buy an appropriate Christmas present, and then drop the new, unwrapped item off at a partnering location under the Angel Tree. We also accept non-perishable food items, donations of new, unworn clothing, and Christmas wrapping supplies, but toys are our priority and biggest need.

If you are a business, school, or organization that would like to host an Angel Tree (toy drive) in your location for 2023, please contact Laura Smith at laura.smith@salvationarmy.ca.

If you are looking to donate new toys, clothing, food, or hygiene products, please contact us for more information, or see below for drop-off and shipping details.

If you would like to donate a toy but would prefer not to use one of our in-person drop-off locations, please send packages to:

The Salvation Army
Edmonton Community Resource Centre
Attn: Angel Tree
12544 129 St. NW
Edmonton, AB. T5L 4R4
Tel: (780) 424-9222

Please ensure delivery instructions include a request to deliver your package during our office hours, which are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. If possible, please select a Signature On Delivery option.

If you are donating as a member of a partnering school or business, please include the organization’s name somewhere in the FROM section of the shipping information so we can appropriately acknowledge your partnership with us.

Amazon Wish List and Gift Ideas

Online shopping can be so easy, so we set up an online wish list on Amazon for those who may find it easier to purchase a toy online and ship it to us directly.

Please click here to see our Amazon wish list. You can add items from the list to your cart and have them sent to our warehouse directly; just make sure your delivery address is Edmonton Community Resource Centre, which should automatically appear in your list of addresses. If your school or workplace is an Angel Tree partner, please include your business/organization name in the gift message portion of the checkout. Something along the lines of “From [your name] on behalf of [your business/organization],” would be great.

The Salvation Army accepts and appreciates all new and unwrapped toys received through this program; however, there are certain age groups we often lack toy donations for.
