Christmas Kettle Campaign

The Salvation Army Edmonton Christmas Kettle Campaign

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign is one of Canada’s largest and most recognizable annual charitable events. The Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign seeks donations from the public to help them assist millions of people living in poverty. Contributions allow The Salvation Army to provide many year-round programs and services, such as job and skills training, hot meals, school supplies, counselling, food bank services, and more, which help people find a way out of poverty, permanently.

All Kettle donations stay local to support community programs and services for people in need. When you give to The Salvation Army, you are investing in the future of marginalized and overlooked people in your community.

Anyone who comes to The Salvation Army will receive assistance based solely on their need and our capacity to help, regardless of race, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or religion. We uphold the dignity of all people, believing that all are equal in the eyes of God, and firmly oppose the mistreatment of any person. We believe that everyone is entitled to receive assistance with respect and dignity.

Volunteering at a Kettle makes a real difference to someone in the fight of their life with poverty, hunger, or homelessness. Be a part of our Christmas tradition and help change a life. When you give to a Salvation Army Kettle, EXPECT CHANGE.

Kettle Orientation Video

We prepared a Kettle Orientation Video for all of our volunteers to watch. Topics covered include what to expect on a kettle shift, how to interact with the public, and how to handle donations.
